What you will do
As the Project Manager, you will lead construction, workspace and system-related project delivery for a program valued at approximately $15 million. Working closely with BGIS and other partners, you will ensure delivery aligns with Bank access requirements, processes, procedures and standards, while managing reporting, risks, issues, change control, finances and project documentation.

 

Specifically, you will 

  • develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the program’s key objectives and how they affect the delivery of the Bank’s operations, both operationally and financially
  • coordinate with BGIS and other vendors to support delivery, resolve issues and ensure alignment with Bank access requirements
  • liaise with the Bank’s management team and provide reporting on project status including ad-hoc reporting related to the project fit-up
  • manage Bank processes and procedures to support smooth, efficient delivery across stakeholders
  • identify risks, solve problems with partners and escalate issues appropriately
  • manage scope, schedule, budget and quality, applying value-engineering considerations where needed
  • engage with stakeholders to validate and document that the project deliverables meet business requirements
  • monitor progress against plans, scope and schedule
  • review and analyze monthly and quarterly financial results, and generate the appropriate reports, providing the Leadership Team with a meaningful overview of the program
    perform analysis and vendor evaluations for presentation to the program team or to the Leadership Team
  • monitor the application of Bank policies and guidelines within the program to ensure ongoing alignment with program and Bank objectives
  • build and manage relationships with partners and stakeholders to support evolving business needs

 

What you need to succeed 
As a Project Manager, you are a team player, self-starter and communicate effectively when exchanging information and ideas with others.  You clarify complex information, promote collaboration while working with business partners both inside and outside the Bank and have strong planning, organization, analytical, decision-making and relationship-management skills. You must have advanced skills in writing briefing notes, dashboards, and reports.

Your education and experience
The position requires a university degree in business administration or similar program, with five to seven years of experience in a project management role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French.  The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional).  If a qualified candidate who meets the language requirement of the position is not found, a qualified candidate who does not meet the language requirement may be considered. Training may be provided to help reach the required level.  Both bilingual and unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

    • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $111,051 to $130,649 (job grade 17)
    • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.

    • Extra vacation days (up to five each year) that you can purchase to add to your vacation entitlement
    • Option to join the indexed, defined-benefit pension plan after 24 consecutive months of service
