A poster session that showcases undergraduate student research will be held at the 54th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Economics Association (CEA). Current undergraduate students, or those who have graduated in the past year but have not yet begun their graduate studies, are encouraged to apply to participate. High-quality original research papers, in either French or English, focusing on any area of Economics will be considered.

A maximum of 12 students will be invited to present their research at the conference. The successful candidates will be expected to prepare a poster and be available to discuss it. Posters will be showcased during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks on Friday and Saturday, May 22 and 23, specifically from 10 to 10:30am and from 3:30 to 4pm.

The Bank of Canada will cover the following for one presenter of each selected paper: the student conference registration fee of $160, the CEA student membership, and a ticket to the CWEC or Purvis Lunch. This will entitle students to attend all conference sessions, as well as the evening receptions on Friday and Saturday.

Prizes for Best Poster and Most Original Research of $500CAD each will be awarded. Judges will be among the delegates viewing and assessing the posters.

Students selected for participation will be notified by Sunday, 3rd May, 2020. Those interested in participating in this session must submit a completed online application including the following documents:

- Resume of the author(s)

- Name and contact details of the person who supervised the research

- Full draft (preferred) or extended paper outline. The paper should include a short summary (about 150 words) and JEL codes to identify the topic of the paper
