The Bank of Canada is seeking to fill one permanent and one term Endpoint Management Specialist position (term ending December 31, 2027) within our Endpoint Management team in Information Technology Services.

In this role, you will join a high‑performing team and support the end‑user experience on Bank‑managed devices by helping design, secure, maintain, and improve modern endpoint platforms across physical, virtual, mobile, and cloud‑based environments. This includes laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and virtual desktop solutions, with a strong focus on leveraging automation and AI‑enabled capabilities.

Working closely with Business Units and technology partners, you will support the implementation of software and policies that align with the Bank’s Digital Workplace Strategy and enterprise security requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate endpoints and applications, including device provisioning, deployment, updates, secure decommissioning, application packaging and delivery, while ensuring a secure, reliable, and consistent end-user experience across Windows, iOS, AVD, and Windows 365 environments.
  • Design, implement, and support modern endpoint management solutions, including Windows Autopilot, automated provisioning, PowerShell scripting, remediation logic, security baselines, and configuration standards, balancing security, compliance, performance, and usability.
  • Administer and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 Cloud PC environments, including host pools, session hosts, application groups, and FSLogix profiles, ensuring operational stability, performance, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with Service Desk, Cybersecurity, Identity, and business stakeholders to resolve complex endpoint and access issues, maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks, and support lifecycle decisions related to hardware standards, provisioning models, and secure device retirement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through automation, process optimization, tooling enhancements, OS migrations, endpoint modernization, and the responsible adoption of AI-enabled solutions that improve user experience, reliability, and support efficiency.

What You Need to Succeed

This role requires demonstrated experience supporting enterprise environments, including Windows 11, Windows Server 2019+, and managed iOS devices, with hands-on expertise using SCCM and Microsoft Intune in co-managed or cloud-first environments. This includes experience in application packaging and deployment (e.g., Win32, MSI, MSIX, and Store apps) and a strong understanding of endpoint configuration management, patching, and lifecycle operations.

The successful candidate brings a structured and analytical approach to troubleshooting complex issues across devices, applications, and security configurations, while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in both operational and project-based settings. They communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into practical solutions, and apply sound judgment and accountability in prioritizing work and making decisions. They demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and optimize endpoint management practices, while effectively balancing day-to-day operational support with longer-term platform enhancements in a dynamic environment.

Nice to Have

  • PowerShell scripting and automation for provisioning, remediation, or reporting.
  • Experience with Autopilot deployment strategies, update rings, or co-management design.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted operations, analytics, or Copilot-style tools within endpoint, cloud, or virtual desktop platforms.
  • Interest in exploring how AI and automation can modernize endpoint operations while maintaining strong governance and control.
