The Team 

We are currently seeking interested candidates to join our Data and Digital Services (DDS) - Data and Compute Platforms team. Our team is focused on delivering analytic tools, data, compute and AI technologies and services to meet the evolving demands of a modern data centric central bank.

 

Working within an agile environment, you will have the opportunity to experiment, learn and contribute your skills and competencies to continuously evolve and integrate the Bank’s data, compute and AI platforms within a hybrid environment consisting of Cloud, SaaS, PaaS and on-premises physical and virtual infrastructure.

On the technical front you possess core technical expertise with:

 

  • Databricks Platform: Proficient with the Databricks ecosystem including data engineering, notebooks, MLflow, and collaborative development.
  • Linux Systems: Deep familiarity with Red Hat Linux and shell scripting (e.g., Bash).
  • Azure Cloud Platform
    • Proven experience with Azure cloud development and services.
    • Knowledge of Azure AI services (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services).
    • Azure certifications are a strong plus.
  • MLOps & AI Engineering
    • Design and implementation of MLOps pipelines using CI/CD best practices for ML workflows.
    • Experience with model training, deployment, and monitoring at scale.
    • Knowledgeable in AI Engineering, including ML lifecycle management, model versioning, and serving.
    • Familiarity with ML frameworks: TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, Spark MLlib, Kubeflow.
  • DevSecOps & CI/CD
    • Experience with DevSecOps principles, automated testing, security integration in pipelines.
    • Strong foundation in CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, unit testing, and integration testing tools.

 

Nice to have 

  • Big Data & Spark: Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and real-time analytics.
  • Python Programming: Advanced Python skills, including strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
  • AI Agent Integration
    • Ability to integrate AI agents with external tools, APIs, and developer platforms (e.g., GitHub, Databricks).
    • Experience connecting AI systems with frontend interfaces and business applications.
  • Containerization & Orchestration
    • Experience with container-based deployments using Docker and/or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
    • Knowledge of deploying and managing models in production environments with MLOps tools and DevOps workflows.

 

Your education and experience

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in computer science, software development, or a related field is required. For the Developer position, three to five years of relevant experience is expected, while the Senior Developer role typically requires five to eight years of experience. In both cases, an equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered.

 

 

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. Although the position language requirement is English or French essential, we do encourage everyone to improve second their language proficiency for future career growth and to contribute towards fostering a bilingual environment.

Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a substantial part of each month as part of the Bank`s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of eight days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $92,346 to $108,643 (job grade 16) or from $108,874 to $128,087 (job grade 17)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 5-15% Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
