What you will do:
This is a hands-on software development role where you will use your development skills to build innovative and sustainable solutions while having the opportunity to learn, be mentored, and grow your career.
In addition, you will:
- Work in a collaborative, agile environment, with opportunities to think outside the box working on a variety of platforms at varying heights in the web stack.
- Complete hands-on software development in a Java 21 Spring Boot Redhat Openshift environment using Angular as a front end and/or Java JEE / Java 8 (Spring) environment on a Weblogic platform
What you need to succeed:
You are collaborative, quality focused, and are quick to learn the requirements of working on a mission critical system supporting the Canadian banking environment.
Further, you have:
- Software development skills, a passion for technology and a strong desire to learn.
- Knowledge and a development skillset with Java and database operations
Assets:
The following technologies are actively being used in our development environment. Having them as skills is an asset, otherwise you will have the opportunity to learn:
- Databases: Oracle/SQL
- Deployment Technologies: Jenkins, JIRA, Containers
- Version Control Systems: Git and GitHub
Education and experience
For your candidacy to be considered, you must be a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Computer Science program or related field. The completion date for your degree must be between April 2022 and April 2025. Relevant coop workterm experience or employment in a related field is preferred
Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. Although the position language requirement is English or French essential, we do encourage everyone to improve second their language proficiency for future career growth and to contribute towards fostering a bilingual environment.

Hybrid Work Model
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a substantial part of each month as part of the Bank`s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of eight days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $80,967 to $95,255 (job grade 15)
- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
