What you will do
As a Business Systems Analyst in the Banking Operations team, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of our business systems by collaborating closely with managers and staff to evaluate and optimize feature implementation. Leveraging your expertise, you will analyze various scenarios, identify opportunities for improvement, and enhance overall team efficiency. This role involves dynamic interaction across teams to address business needs, resolve issues, and drive system performance improvements. Key responsibilities include:

 

Incident & Problem Management:

  • Collaborate with support and service teams to track, analyze, and resolve problems and incidents.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Generate KPIs and metrics to monitor support trends and performance.

 

Operational Support:

  • Facilitate tri-weekly meetings to address operational support topics and escalate issues requiring follow-up.
  • Manage and update team schedules and contribute to refining operational documentation and processes.

 

Security & Compliance:

  • Work with the Security Solutions Architect to resolve security vulnerabilities.
  • Lead quarterly audit activities in collaboration with the Solution Owner and team. 

 

What you need to succeed
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to driving continuous improvement in system operations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • Knowledge of incident management and problem management best practices.
  • Experience with support transition processes.
  • Strong documentation and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

 

Your education and experience
A combination of relevant education and experience that demonstrates your expertise and ability to learn and apply new skills effectively will be considered for this role. Ideally, candidates should have at least five years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a related position.

 

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. Although the position language requirement is English or French essential, we do encourage everyone to improve second their language proficiency for future career growth and to contribute towards fostering a bilingual environment.

Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a substantial part of each month as part of the Bank`s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of eight days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $92,346 to $108,643 (job grade 16)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
  • Flexible and comprehensive benefits so you can choose the level of health and dental coverage that meets your needs
  • Extra vacation days (up to five each year) that you can purchase to add to your vacation entitlement
  • Option to join the indexed, defined-benefit pension plan after 24 consecutive months of service
