System Integration Specialist - Business Continuity

What you will do
As a System Integration Specialist, you will perform overall governance of the IT business continuity processes by performing activities such as disaster recovery (DR) exercises. You will actively engage with different partners at the Bank to ensure that documentation for Bank Continuity is maintained and compliant and that roles and responsibilities are operationalized and validated according to our policies.

 

More specifically you will

  • lead the management and governance of IT control processes and procedures related to IT business continuity
  • monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of those processes 
  • lead in service adoption strategies (communication, training, knowledge) and efforts related to the delivery of IT business continuity services by ensuring ITS teams and key partners are informed on service value and benefits
  • initiate and review feedback on service delivery and lead continual improvement efforts
  • oversee the implementation of new practices, policies and special initiatives to improve and support business needs
  • identify and handle critical success factors and key performance indicators to review service health 
  • act as a leader on medium sized projects assigned to Service Management
  • mentor and coach team member in the broad approach to design and delivery of services

 

What you need to succeed

  • Knowledge of:
    • IT business continuity
    • the service value chain and how it supports business outcomes
    • project management principles enabling effective planning and execution of initiatives and engagements
    • design thinking and lean six sigma principles in the well-rounded design of service and product delivery
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bring together diverse groups of collaborators and facilitate the co-creation of positive outcomes
  • Planning and coordination skills for enterprise-wide business continuity events 

 

Your education and experience 

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or related field with a minimum of three years of experience in leading business continuity or in product or process design. A combination of experience and education may be considered.

 

 

What you need to know

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents

Hybrid Work Model 
The Bank is moving towards a hybrid working model which will allow most employees to telework up to 50 percent of the time, balanced over a two-week period.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $85,100 to $106,400 (job grade 17)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (7 to 10% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (15% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
