What you will do
As a Network Solutions Integrator, your role is to provide technical guidance, oversight and hands-on support, leading the integration of Bank applications into the network infrastructure. You will have a leading role in introducing new technology and capabilities that enable the Bank’s portfolio partners and will be called upon to lead in the resolution of complex problems and help resolve critical infrastructure challenges, which may include providing Solution Architecture documents where required. You will also be heavily involved in incident and problem management. This role will combine strong analysis, problem-solving and communication skills to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and quality in your deliverables.
More specifically, you will:
- Ensure network solutions meets the Bank’s operational needs, ensuring stability, reliability, availability, scalability, supportability, and security are addressed in the delivery of solutions into CTS.
- Lead, support, and coach others in best practices for resolving incidents, tracking problems, and implementing changes into the infrastructure.
- Identify technical issues and risks, define mitigation approaches and create detailed solutions.
- Create and maintain detailed support documentation, best practices for support and DR (disaster recovery) documentation for new solutions.
- Provide production support (including on-call support), working with operational support groups to determine the root cause of production incident and the required recommend remedies.
- Develop a strategy for validating recovery capabilities of services; participating in component fault impact analysis, backup and recovery testing, disaster recovery testing and continuity testing as required.
- Establish mechanisms to monitor, track and report on service levels and recovery times using incident management metrics.
What you need to succeed
You are self-motivated and highly independent, capable of finding solutions and challenging the status quo. You are also a great team player with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate & coach colleagues within the team and ITS.
Also, you can work on call and/or overtime as needed acting as a leader and technology owner as required; coordinating changes and taking a lead role in resolving issues across multiple concurrent projects and high-visibility applications. You will also be expected to lead teams of technical experts during incident resolution, and own outcomes of the problem management process.
In addition, you have:
- 7+ years of proven experience as a senior technology expert (with a broad infrastructure background)
- Experience and proven ability to work in a technical lead role within a technology team
- Excellent communications and presentations skills
- Experience with some of the following technologies, expert level in at least one:
- Cisco Routing and Switching
- Cisco ONS
- Network Functions (DNS, load balancing, site selection, etc.)
- Network Security (firewalls, CASB, proxies, etc.)
- Data Centre and Hardware Support (Servers, cable infrastructure, lights-out management
- Experience with Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- Experience with automation tools and best practices.
- Experience with Cloud solutions and services.
Nice to have
- An understanding to the following technologies:
- Virtual Infrastructure (VMWare, Azure, etc.)
- Enterprise Storage and Backup (SAN, NAS, Backup, etc.)
- Operating System Support (Windows/Linux/Unix administration)
- Kubernetes PaaS (OpenShift, AKS, etc.)
- Database Management (Oracle, MS-SQL)
- Integration Services (MuleSoft, etc.)
Education and Experience section
Your education and professional background demonstrate readiness for a cloud centric solutions integrator role. Ideally, you have a relevant degree or diploma and 7+ years of experience, with hands-on exposure to both traditional and cloud-native database platforms and architectures.

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. Although the position language requirement is English or French essential, we do encourage everyone to improve their second language proficiency for future career growth and to contribute towards fostering a bilingual environment.

Hybrid Work Model

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $126,765 to $149,135 (job grade 18)
- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
