About the position
We are seeking innovative and dedicated individuals to join our Financial Markets and Banking Operations division. You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team of specialists working in a fast-paced environment enabling Canada’s Leading Bank to work proactively. As part of Banking Operations team, you will lead the build and deployment of enhancement to large and complex Information Technology (IT) solutions. You will work closely various teams to lead efficient work prioritization and value delivery at the IT level. You will also participate in strategic planning and innovation/discovery activities.
What you will do
- Lead and manage several complex application development and infrastructure improvement initiatives focused on central banking operations.
- Lead all project life-cycle phases, from project initiation to testing, delivery and operations.
- Develop project plans, project roadmaps, prioritize, and delegate work to achieve project objectives, manage risks and interdependencies and optimize the delivery of application development and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate proactively with other teams to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and to support the resolution of client inquiries and concerns.
- Provide regular updates on progress and delivery to the sponsor/client.
- Provide advice and guidance on matters relating to Agile and project management practices and methodologies.
Your knowledge and skills
As an experienced Project Manager, you are resourceful and well-organized, an effective communicator, team player, innovative problem solver, self-starter and change contributor.
In addition, you have
- solid understanding of technology service delivery and support processes.
- solid analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions and judgments.
- solid interpersonal skills (team player): ability to share expertise, provide/receive constructive feedback and contribute ideas to achieve common goals.
- experience in facilitating workshops and presentations to senior stakeholders.
- knowledge of project life-cycle management; program and portfolio management.
- strong business acumen, including the ability to communicate value and translate business needs into project objectives.
- excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in writing clear, concise documents.
- hands-on experience leading cross-functional or distributed teams combined from employees and external consultants as well as on-site and remote resources.
- experience in delivering projects in an agile environment.
Your education and experience
- university degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, administration)
and
- a minimum of seven years of experience in the field of IT as a project manager
- a minimum of five years of recent project management experience in delivering complex IT application development projects.
or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
What you need to know
- Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $99,340 to $124,175 (job grade 18)
- Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay. The first tier of performance pay is for successfully meeting expectation, at 7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay for those who exceed expectations (15% of your base salary).. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
