About the position:

We are seeking a cloud-savvy candidate interested in becoming a valued member of our cyber community!
 

As a Senior IT Cloud Security Specialist, you will apply advanced technical expertise to strengthen our Azure cloud security posture. You will provide guidance, support problem resolution, and collaborate with teams to reduce cloud risk and support secure cloud operations. You bring deep technical knowledge and act as a key contributor within your area of expertise.

 

What you will do:

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and direction to team members and partner groups.
  • Share expertise to build collective understanding of cloud security practices.
  • Contribute to internal documentation, playbooks, and knowledge‑sharing activities.
  • Contribute input to medium‑term planning for cloud security improvements.
  • Participate in capability assessments and identify resource needs for upcoming initiatives.
  • Provide insight into maturing Azure governance, tooling, and policy requirements.
  • Lead the resolution of complex cloud security problems within your domain.
  • Apply established methodologies in new ways and develop enhanced approaches when needed.
  • Act as a senior technical contributor and key escalation point for Azure security issues.
  • Identify misconfigurations, policy violations, and cyber risks across cloud workloads.
  • Recommend mitigation strategies and highlight trade‑offs to maintain solution quality.
  • Support validation of compliance with cloud standards (NIST, CIS, ISO, SOC 2).
  • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal teams (Cloud, SecOps, DevOps).
  • Share knowledge and insights to support joint problem solving and secure solution delivery.
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide guidance.

In addition, you will also:

  • Apply advanced knowledge of Azure cloud security, policy management, automation, and workload hardening.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide expert recommendations to improve cloud security posture.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and their impact on secure cloud operations.

 

 
What you need to succeed
You are a collaborative team player and self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment. You bring your strong understanding of cloud security and strive to keep up to date with the latest developments in this field.

You also have:

  • Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, governance, and cloud security principles.
  • Demonstrated experience building or securing workloads in Azure and automating workflows.
  • Ability to assess cyber risk and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with cloud compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO, and SOC 2.

 

 Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with cloud security monitoring and alerting platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud data protection strategies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitHub).

 
Your education and experience 
A relevant combination of education, certifications, and hands‑on experience demonstrating your ability to learn, adapt, and apply advanced cloud security skills. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of relevant experience.

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

    • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $111,051 to $130,649 (job grade 17)
    • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.

    • Extra vacation days (up to five each year) that you can purchase to add to your vacation entitlement
    • Option to join the indexed, defined-benefit pension plan after 24 consecutive months of service
