The Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Endpoint Management Specialist to join our Endpoint Management team within Information Technology Services.

 
In this role, you will join a high performing team and play a key part in shaping the end user experience on Bank managed devices by designing, securing, maintaining, and continuously improving modern endpoint platforms across physical, virtual, mobile, and cloud based environments. This includes laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and virtual desktop solutions, with a strong focus on leveraging automation and AI enabled capabilities to align technology with business goals, and drive innovation through targeted AI solutions.

 
Working closely with Business Units and technology partners, you will help define policies, processes, and deployment strategies that align with the Bank’s Digital Workplace Strategy and enterprise security requirements.

  
What You Will Do

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate devices, including provisioning, deployment, updates, and secure decommissioning. 
  • Package, deploy, and maintain applications across supported platforms, including Win32, MSI, MSIX, Microsoft Store apps, and custom line-of-business applications. 
  • Design and support Windows Autopilot and automated provisioning, including scripting and remediation logic (PowerShell preferred). 
  • Implement and maintain security baselines and configuration standards, balancing compliance with usability. 
  • Collaborate closely with Service Desk, Cybersecurity, and Identity teams to resolve complex endpoint and access related issues. 
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, device standards, and operational runbooks. 
  • Participate in and lead initiatives such as OS migrations, endpoint evergreen strategies, and platform modernization efforts. 
  • Manage and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools, session hosts, FSLogix profiles, and application groups. 
  • Administer and configure the Windows 365 Cloud PC environment, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with enterprise standards. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities where automation or AI can improve user experience, reliability, or support efficiency while aligning with security and governance standards. 
  • Participate in vendor briefings, roadmap discussions, and proof-of-concepts to inform platform direction and modernization efforts.

  
What You Are Accountable For

  • Delivering a high quality, consistent end-user experience across all managed endpoints. 
  • Ensuring reliable and secure application delivery on Windows and iOS devices. 
  • Maintaining operational stability of endpoint platforms and baseline configurations. 
  • Implementing modern security configurations without introducing unnecessary friction for users. 
  • Supporting lifecycle decisions, including hardware standards, provisioning models, and secure device retirement. 
  • Driving continuous improvement through automation, process refinement, and tooling enhancements. 
  • Ensuring AVD and Windows 365 environments remain stable, performant, and compliant with corporate standards. 
  • Maintaining FSLogix profile health and host pool configurations to minimize login times and profile related issues.

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Strong experience with Windows 11, Windows Server 2019+, and enterprise managed iOS devices. 
  • Handson experience with SCCM and Microsoft Intune in comanaged or cloud first environments. 
  • Proven expertise in application packaging and deployment (Win32, MSI, MSIX, Store apps). 
  • Solid understanding of endpoint configuration management, patching, and lifecycle operations. 
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across devices, applications, and security configurations. 
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working across operational and project-based workstreams. 
  • Ability to balance day-to-day operational support with longer-term platform improvements.

 

Nice to Have

  • PowerShell scripting and automation for provisioning, remediation, or reporting. 
  • Experience with Autopilot deployment strategies, update rings, or co-management design. 
  • Exposure to AI-assisted operations, analytics, or Copilot-style tools within endpoint, cloud, or virtual desktop platforms.  
  • Interest in exploring and staying current with emerging trends to continuously learn about how new technology, AI, and automation can modernize endpoint operations while maintaining strong governance and control.

 

Your education and experience
Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the proficiencies and skills for the role.  We are ideally seeking candidates with a relevant degree/diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience.

Hybrid Work Model
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $111,051 to $130,649 (job grade 17)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
