What’s new
Information Technology Services’ Core Technology Services (CTS) portfolio is in the midst of a transformational change. CTS is evolving toward a strong IT–Business collaboration model, with both internal and business-facing teams focused on delivering the value of a modern, resilient, and highly automated technology landscape.
At the core of this landscape is a cloud first approach, leveraging scalable, resilient, and secure cloud native services. Rather than relying on traditional infrastructure models, this approach prioritizes platform and managed services—compute, storage, networking, security, and identity—delivered and orchestrated through software. By treating infrastructure and platforms as code, the cloud provides a programmable foundation that enables rapid delivery, automation, and direct alignment with application and service needs‑first approach, leveraging scalable, resilient, and secure cloud‑native services.

We are currently seeking a Senior Developer to join the Core Technology Services Portfolio. Reporting to the Assistant director, you will work closely with project teams and technical stakeholders to design, develop, and implement software solutions and automation frameworks that support CTS platforms and services. This role emphasizes hands-on development, technical problem-solving, and mentorship, contributing to the evolution of our automated, cloud technology ecosystem.
What you need to succeed

You are comfortable translating technical capabilities into business value when collaborating with ITS colleagues and application teams.
You consistently look for opportunities to design, develop, and enhance automation, tooling, and platform services within your area of specialization, while also contributing to solutions across CTS. You value clean code, maintainability, and continuous improvement, and you actively promote DevOps and infrastructure-as-code / configuration‑as‑code principles.
The successful candidate has:
- Experience with programming and/or scripting, e.g.: HCL, YAML, Python, Powershell, Javascript or working knowledge in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g.: Java, C, C#, C++)
- Experience with one or more infrastructure automation technologies, e.g.: Ansible Tower, Azure DevOps, VMWare vRealize Suite, Terraform or ServiceNOW workflow automation
- A strong IT infrastructure background, and a history demonstrating strong technical skills
- An existing understanding of network platforms and internetworking architectures like virtual local area networks (VLANs), routers, switches and network protocols
- An understanding of cloud platforms and cloud‑native application architectures, including microservices, containers, and managed services. Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles and tools (e.g.: Jira, scrum, etc.) test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features
