Lead the development of analytics capabilities

  • Design and deliver analytics solutions (models, dashboards, reporting) that strengthen controls and support decision-making.
  • Lead testing and validation to ensure quality and reliability of solutions.
  • Build analytics capability across the team through coaching and hands-on support.

Collaborate and influence

  • Partner with senior leaders to align data and analytics initiatives with priorities.
  • Build strong relationships across teams.
  • Contribute accounting expertise in cross-functional forums and governance committees.

What you need to succeed

  • A proactive, strategic mindset, comfortable exercising judgment and influence in complex, non routine situations.
  • Strong expertise in working with financial or operational data, including the ability to translate business and control requirements into effective data and analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering analytics (e.g., datasets, models, dashboards, reporting tools) that support decision-making and strengthen controls
  • Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and integrity, with a focus on reliability and trust in data
  • Clear, concise communication skills, able to engage both technical and non technical audiences.
  • A collaborative, relationship driven approach, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering analytics (e.g., datasets, models, dashboards, reporting tools) that support decision-making and strengthen controls

Nice to have

Experience working with:

  • Accounting operations in a financial institution, crown corporation, or similarly complex environment.
  • Enterprise systems and data environments (e.g., SAP, data warehouses/lakehouses, portfolio or financial market systems).
  • Financial instruments and their accounting, valuation, and control considerations.
  • CPA designation

Your education and experience

You have a university degree in a relevant field (e.g., accounting, finance, data, or a related discipline) and a minimum of five years of experience in accounting, finance, data analytics, or financial operations, including exposure to controls, reporting, or complex data environments.

Innovative Mindset
