Senior Business Systems Analyst - Cyber Security

About the positions
We are seeking innovative and dedicated individuals to join our forward thinking Cyber Security Program. You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team of cyber specialists working in a fast paced environment enabling Canada’s Leading Bank to work securely. 

 

With the increase in sophistication and frequency of cyber attacks, cyber security has been identified as a top priority at the Bank. The Cyber Security Program was initiated to implement required technology and process improvements to enhance the Bank’s overall security posture. The focus of the Senior Business Systems Analyst role is to introduce new tools and capabilities to enable to Bank to identify, protect, detect and respond to cyber threats. 

 

Within the Identity & Access Management team, you lead the definition of solutions for managing the identities and controlling access for all users of Bank systems, including privileged access users and users of cloud services. 

 

Your future responsibilities

  • lead the information gathering, analysis and development of technical and non-technical requirements to be met by new Cyber Security Solutions.
  • develop detailed specifications documentation from which solutions will be developed, designed, coded and tested.
  • define business and system processes.
  • facilitate workshops and presentations to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • lead and/or participate in functional testing, acceptance testing and end-user training
  • assist with the development of performance metrics.
  • develop, maintain and strengthen long-term relationships or partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and, when required, help manage third-party service suppliers’ relationships within the established governance framework and contractual obligations
  • assess current policies, programs or services to recommend changes to support continuous improvement 
  • provide on-the-job training, coaching, guidance and support to more junior colleagues.

 

Your education and experience

  • university degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, cyber security) and five years of experience in a business systems analyst role for IT technology implementation projects.

  • an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered


Your knowledge and skills 
You are a confident communicator and have the ability to quickly grasp and analyze complex issues, diagnose multi-dimensional problems and devise insightful/appropriate responses or strategies to address them. You are a team player and have the to work with technical specialists and suppliers to ensure that departmental business needs and requirements are met. You have experience working in Cyber technology end-to-end implementation projects and gathering and documenting user needs and translating them into technical and non-technical requirements. Finally, you have knowledge of system development methodology, including a commitment to the success of the testing phases and processes.

 

As part of the Identity and Access Management team, we are seeking someone with;

  • a minimum of three years of experience with large end-to-end identity & access management solutions in a complex environment.
  • a minimum of two years of business systems analysis experience for identity & access management solutions.
  • experience in Cyber Security, particularly identity governance and administration.
  • experience in implementing Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • experience gathering and documenting user needs and translating them into user stories
  • experience in gathering evidence to demonstrate compliance to IT Security Controls.

 

Assets 

  • International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation or PMI-BA
  • Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ
     

Language requirement
English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $87,500 to $108,100 (job grade 17)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (7 to 10% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (15% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
