About the Role

As a Multimedia Specialist in our IT End User Experience (EUE) portfolio, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless, modern, and engaging digital workplace. You blend advanced multimedia skills with a strong customer-centric mindset to support live events, collaboration technologies, hybrid meetings, video production, and digital AV spaces.

You ensure that employees have a world-class experience—whether attending a high-profile hybrid meeting, participating in a virtual event, recording content, or using enterprise conferencing tools. Your work enhances communication, accessibility, and collaboration across the organization.

 

What You Will Do

1. Deliver exceptional multimedia and hybrid-event experience

  • Support, operate, and optimize audiovisual, conferencing, and collaboration tools (MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx, Teams Rooms). 
  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot multimedia services for live, hybrid, and virtual events—including high-profile Executive sessions. 
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support for presentations, recordings, sound reinforcement, interpretation booths, and video streaming. 

2. Support the digital workplace experience

  • Provide first-level and second-level support for multimedia, conferencing, and digital collaboration tools. 
  • Partner with unified communication and networking teams to ensure strong performance, reliability, and adherence to IT standards.

3. Lead continuous improvement of multimedia infrastructure

  • Participate in the planning, design, and deployment of AV systems, collaboration rooms, digital signage, and event technologies. 
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in audiovisual and conferencing technologies, including AI-enhanced tools for AV System Desing & Integration, Teams Rooms AI features, and hybrid meeting analytics.
  • Apply current technology knowledge and theories to solve problems, adapt existing methods, and develop new approaches.
  • Diagnose and resolve multimedia, hardware, and software issues efficiently, addressing service requirements and technical problems with accuracy and promptness.

4. Enhance user enablement and digital literacy

  • Deliver training, quick-hit tutorials, and micro-learning on collaboration tools and multimedia technologies. 
  • Coach meeting hosts, executives, and content creators on best practices for hybrid meetings and multimedia usage.

5. Ensure reliability, performance, and compliance

  • Monitor systems, diagnose issues, interpret logs, and take action to maintain reliability and uptime. 
  • Conduct root-cause analyses and contribute to long-term solutions.

 

What You Need to Succeed

Technical Skills

  • Expertise with modern conferencing ecosystems (MS Teams/Teams Rooms, Zoom, WebEx). 
  • Strong hands-on experience in technical support and problem resolution across a wide range of audiovisual equipment and systems (e.g., Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Televic, Blackmagic Design, Barco, Bosch).
  • Perform installation, configuration, and operation of audiovisual systems in live event and enterprise environments, including cameras, microphones, mixers, control systems, displays, and projection equipment.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (QoS, VLANs, Wi-Fi performance) and how they impact real-time communications. 
  • Experience supporting hybrid meetings, event production, or broadcast-style setups.
  • Expertise in signal processing, system control, routing, and end-to-end audio-video signal flow.

Soft Skills

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills. 
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-visibility situations.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to competing demands. 
  • Collaborative mindset and strong relationship-building skills.

 

Education and Experience

  • Degree or diploma in IT, Multimedia, Communications Technology, Digital Media, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in multimedia support, hybrid meeting technologies, or AV systems engineering.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Certifications are an asset (e.g. Crestron Fundamentals (CTI-CF), Intelligent Video Certification Engineer (IVC-E), Crestron Certified Programmer, Microsoft Teams Rooms certification, etc.)

Language requirement

The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French.  The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional).  If a qualified candidate who meets the language requirement of the position is not found, a qualified candidate who does not meet the language requirement may be considered.   • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $82,586 to $97,160 (job grade 15)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
