What you will do

As the Manager for the Business Administration Team, you will provide input into the strategic planning process as well as guidance to team members. You will identify opportunities for improvement by participating in Bank-wide management initiatives. You will lead departmental meetings as well as planning initiatives. You will provide advice and guidance on corporate practices and specific topics such as work environment, HR policies and guidelines. In this role, you will establish team objectives and priorities to ensure plans are properly met.  

 

In addition, you will: 

  • Provide analytical support to improve the business and office management practices of the department  
  • Analyze complex issues and develop appropriate responses  
  • Provide operational leadership on departmental planning and performance processes 
  • Analyze monthly budget variances in relation to the annual plan  
  • Lead small to medium sized projects and departmental communications, work environment and recognition programs 

 

What you need to succeed 

  • Experience managing a team of business support resources (Executive Administrative Assistants) 
  • The ability to plan, organize, prioritize and deliver work plans or projects 
  • Experience in the research and identification of business issues/requirements/gaps and the identification and recommendation of potential solutions 
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, complemented by strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Presentation skills and delivery of written and oral communications to stakeholders and senior leadership  

 

Assets 

  • Knowledge of the Adaptive applications, Service Now, CRM and capacity to act as a departmental SME on its use 
  • Familiarity with employee performance and recognition systems and the administration of recognition programs 

 

Your education and experience 

The position requires a relevant university or college degree, plus 6-8 years of progressively more responsible analysis and planning experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  

 

What you need to know

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Secret

Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a substantial part of each month as part of the Bank`s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of eight days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $90,535 to $106,512 (job grade 16)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
