The Data & Analytics Services Team
Our team works in a Scrum framework to support and evolve the Bank’s Data & Analytic demands. We work closely with the business to understand their needs and partner with other internal and external service providers to deliver our services. Our services include data hosting and storage platforms, data transformation and orchestration, and support for data analytics through a range of tools and capabilities designed to meet the Bank's evolving needs.

 

Our team will also give you the opportunity to:

  • Experiment with the latest technologies and practices to evaluate their effectiveness and integration within our environment. 
  • Collaborate with teams across ITS, DDO and various business functions
  • Receive mentorship and coaching towards career goals

 

What you will do 
You will work collaboratively with colleagues and business support groups to implement, maintain and optimize the solutions that support the Bank’s analytic and research capabilities hosted on our hybrid environment of Cloud, SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) and on-premises physical and virtual infrastructures. You will support and promote DevSecOps practices within the Data Delivery and Analytics Services by:

  • Working with cross-functional teams to design, implement, monitor and optimize efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of data processing solutions that support high performing and scalable data pipelines.
  • Evaluating and recommending new tools, technologies, and processes to improve the overall DevSecOps workflow, automating tasks and processes to increase efficiency. 
  • Managing and maintaining technology that enables the DevSecOps practices on prem and in the cloud which may include the administration of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems and 3rd party library/artifacts repository management systems.
  • Deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting software applications and services while implementing and maintaining security measures and best practices.

 

What you need to succeed
You are a self-starter whose curiosity supports your assessment of complex issues and eagerness to resolve problems. As an effective communicator, you clearly convey key points in a style appropriate to a variety of audiences.  
You are experienced in Scrum and DevSecOps principles and tools. You are knowledgeable and have experience with test-driven development, continuous integration and deployment, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features and data delivery. You are knowledgeable of data modeling with an understanding of different data structures, including their benefits and limitations under particular use cases. 

 

Your success will be further supported by your knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (Python and SQL)
  • Experience with configuration management tools and Azure cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and networking concepts

Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you are effective at learning and applying new skills.

Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a substantial part of each month as part of the Bank`s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of eight days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $3,539.78 to $4,164.48 (bi-weekly) (job grade 16)
