What you will do
The Information Technology Services (ITS) Department’s Corporate Administration Portfolio provides the applications, software, hardware and technical support to the business functions of the Bank’s Corporate Administration Departments.
As the Applications Developer, you work within the Corporate Administration Portfolio and specifically support the ServiceNOW application and all its integrations.
You collaborate with vendors, clients and colleagues and apply application life cycle management principles and/or software development lifecycle methodologies, as well as identify user requirements, assess available technologies and recommend best solutions to meet clients’ needs.
As a Developer, you will:
- support ServiceNOW solutions at the Bank
- analyze, design and implement enhancements to meet business requirements
- maintain collaborative relationships with internal clients and external counterparts
- perform technical and root-cause analysis on issues and make recommendations for correction
- provide second and third-line support, including evening and weekend work as required
- analyze diagnostic information about uncommon cross-functional problems and provide recommendations for resolution to more senior colleagues or management
- create working procedures and documentation on solutions and populate knowledge databases, testing plans and results
- look for new ways of doing or providing services to our clients; changing or reconfiguring approaches to improve efficiency and capacity
- ensure compliance with audit requirements during the support and maintenance of applications
What you need to succeed
- strong development experience using JavaScript
- solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions when giving advice or making recommendations
- ability to rank tasks per priority, meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks concurrently
- ability to work effectively and maintain positive and co-operative working relationships with the other project members and IT teams
- ability to work dynamically with business clients to collect requirements and translate into functional development actions
- willingness to learn and be challenged
Assets
- automated testing experience
- ability to communicate effectively in both official languages
- experience working in Agile Teams
- work experience in supporting commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems
- strong knowledge of ServiceNOW portal and relevant cloud technologies
Your education and experience
This position requires a bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, or computer engineering, and a minimum of five years of relevant work experience in the IT field with software and database development or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Hybrid Work Model

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $90,535 to $106,512 (job grade 16)
- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
