What you will do 
Are you passionate about data and eager to help drive business success? Join our Data Management team which is responsible to provide lifecycle management of centrally managed data and information to support the Bank’s business functions.

 

In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the integrity and availability of both collected and derived data. You will be responsible for executing time-sensitive data tasks that ensure continuity and smooth data operations. Your strong analytical skills will be key as you dive deep into complex datasets, interpreting them to meet business requirements and solve operational challenges.

 

You will also collaborate closely with teams across the organization, using your technical expertise to identify ways to improve processes, enhance reliability, and create innovative solutions. You will help streamline data flows and maximize the value of our data assets, all while supporting key client needs and driving business efficiency.

 

In addition, you will: 

  • contribute to the development, deployment, operationalization and monitoring of new data pipelines, as well as improvements to existing ones
  • ensure data accessibility and protection by applying and maintaining established standards 
  • troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
  • assist with data onboarding activities
  • plan and conduct testing activities for user acceptance, sanity and regression test types
  • provide guidance and support in the build and maintenance of metadata
  • perform other related tasks to support evolution and drive change

 

What you need to succeed

  • solid technical knowledge of :
    • data management principles and best practices
    • on-premise and cloud technologies, databases, and systems 
    • programming languages such as Python and SQL
  • strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

 

Your education and experience
The position requires a relevant college diploma or university degree in business administration, statistics, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering or information technology, and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

 

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. Although the position language requirement is English or French essential, we do encourage everyone to improve second their language proficiency for future career growth and to contribute towards fostering a bilingual environment.

Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a substantial part of each month as part of the Bank`s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of eight days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $72,070 to $84,788 (job grade 14)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.

  • Extra vacation days (up to five each year) that you can purchase to add to your vacation entitlement
