About the role
Reporting to the Director, HR Business Partners and Employee Relations you’ll play a key role in supporting and evolving the HRBP function through a strong focus on operations, analytics, and transformation.  You’ll enhance overall team capacity by managing key operational activities while, driving continuous improvement across HRBP processes, tools, and service delivery.

 

You’ll have defined deliverables and tight timelines, focused on designing and implementing measurable improvements across HRBP operations, workforce processes, and service models. 

 

What you will do
Through an integrated approach to continuous improvement and transformation, you’ll drive practical, high-impact enhancements that strengthen the efficiency, effectiveness, and delivery of HRBP operations and services.

 

In addition, you’ll:

  • conduct needs assessment of HRBP processes, workflows, and service delivery models to identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and enhance effectiveness.
  • apply process improvement methodologies to the day-to-day work, proactively identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical, measurable enhancements.
  • leverage technology, automation, and emerging tools (including AI) to improve service delivery and reduce manual effort.
  • partner with HR's Centres of Excellence to prioritize, pilot, and implement solutions that strengthen HRBP effectiveness (e.g., dashboards, automation, self-service tools).
  • develop a structured project roadmap outlining prioritized improvements, pilots, and tool implementations to be delivered within the year; track progress against milestones and outcomes.
  • build capability within the HRBP team by promoting curiosity, experimentation, and adoption of improved ways of working.

 

Taking a hands-on approach
By taking a hands-on, end-to-end approach to these processes, you’ll identify recurring challenges and opportunities, translating operational experience into meaningful improvements in efficiency, consistency, and user experience.

 

Recruitment Initiation & Coordination
You will play a key hands-on role in the early stages of staffing activities within the HRBP scope to identify recurring challenges and drive targeted improvements. You will prepare and validate staffing requests (e.g., Right of Return review, bilingual requirements), ensuring accuracy while standardizing and streamlining inputs. From approval through execution, you’ll coordinate staffing activities post-approval in close partnership with Recruitment, Organizational Management, and HR Center, using real-time insights to improve workflow clarity, efficiency, and turnaround time. 

 

Workforce Planning & Position Management
You will support position management activities, including reorganizations, ensuring strong data integrity and improved process efficiency through hands-on application.  You will leverage practical involvement to enhance tools, templates, and workforce insights, enabling more agile and data-driven planning. You will also streamline workflows by clarifying roles, accountabilities, and processes, driving more consistent and efficient execution. 

 

What you need to succeed 
You bring proven experience defining, leading and completing a project of this scale, along with a strong ability to map business processes and identify opportunities for improvements within an administrative team or function. You have strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication and facilitation skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. As a proactive self-starter, you thrive in dynamic environments and are motivated by driving meaningful change and continuous improvement. 

 

Nice-to-have

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and practices
  • Experience researching, implementing, and training on digital and AI technologies in a business environment
  • Expert knowledge of AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, workflow automation platforms)

 

Your education and experience
A post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, information technology, HR), or a relevant combination of education and experience.

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French.  The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional).  If a qualified candidate who meets the language requirement of the position is not found, a qualified candidate who does not meet the language requirement may be considered. Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

    • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $111,055 to $130,650 (job grade 17)
    • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
    • Flexible and comprehensive benefits so you can choose the level of health and dental coverage that meets your needs
    • Extra vacation days (up to five each year) that you can purchase to add to your vacation entitlement
    • Option to join the indexed, defined-benefit pension plan after 24 consecutive months of service
