About the position
We’re looking for an energetic people person who knows how to produce high-quality, meaningful content for a variety of platforms on tight deadlines. You know how to focus on business objectives and prioritize work to achieve results. You’re a bilingual professional and a team player who can work effectively with people at all levels of seniority and with different experience and skill sets.

 

You oversee the delivery of the Bank’s employee news content and develop and coordinate internal communications for Bank-wide events including our annual workplace charitable campaign, employee conference and holiday reception. You are a versatile digital-first communications specialist who can contribute to the development and implementation of communications strategies and products, working with partners across the organization.

 

Your future responsibilities
You will create, peer review and edit content and ensure its timely publishing and distribution. You will also develop and coordinate communications materials for Bank-wide internal events. You contribute to the development of comprehensive communications strategies and implement related activities and tactics and assist with speeches and other high-profile communications for senior management.

 

You establish work procedures, schedules and quality checks to ensure that work is produced efficiently, with an eye to continuous improvement. You also provide advice and guidance to colleagues, work collaboratively with team members and resolve problems.

 

Your education and experience

  • bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or another related field, with three to five years of recent and progressively more responsible work experience, including strategy development and writing

 

or

 

  • an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

 

Assets

  • knowledge of web content design and publishing
  • familiarity with Agile methodology
  • knowledge of the Bank’s functions, policies and employee communications objectives

 

Your knowledge and skills
We are looking for an effective communicator with superior English writing skills, who has a solid knowledge of WordPress and is adept at using the Office suite and Sharepoint. 

 

You must have strong planning and organization skills, strong relationship management skills and you must be a team player, willing to share expertise, provide and receive constructive feedback and contribute to ideas to achieve common goals. You must be capable of delivering high quality results under pressure, with a focus on broader objectives.

 

Language requirement
English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
