About the position:

We are seeking a cloud-savvy candidate to play a central role in evolving our cyber architecture function and strengthening security across the enterprise.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Cyber Architecture, you will support the advancement of our Cybersecurity architecture capabilities—driving enterprise-wide security outcomes, shaping strategic direction, and influencing architecture practices across teams. What you will do:
As a Central Cloud Security Architect, you will:

  • Evolve and mature the cyber architecture function by defining scalable security principles, reference architectures, and guardrails that enable secure delivery
  • Drive security improvements at scale by embedding security into platforms, policies, and patterns rather than one-off solutions
  • Influence and guide architects and engineering teams, ensuring alignment to security objectives while enabling delivery and innovation
  • Champion a “secure-by-design” approach, shifting security left into policy, platform engineering, CI/CD, and workload design
  • Partner with Cyber Assurance and Risk functions to ensure architecture expectations are measurable, defensible, and aligned with governance outcomes

What you need to succeed
You are a collaborative team player and self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment. You bring your strong understanding of cloud security and enterprise architecture.

  • Enterprise architecture & risk management frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, SABSA)
  • Cyber Security standards such as: NIST 800-53, ISO 27001/27002, SOC 2
  • Key security domains: Identity and Access Management, Monitoring and Response, cloud security posture management, vulnerability and threat management,
  • Tool and techniques to secure cloud-based workloads
  • GenAI (LLMs, agentic AI, prompt/context engineering)

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in a financial, banking, and/or payments environment
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security (Azure preferred, such as Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Sentinel)
