We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our HR – Business Analysis & System Support (BASS) team. Our team plays a critical role in supporting departmental business processes, information management, and system maintenance for core Bank functions.

 

What you will do 
As a Business Analyst, you will provide value-added support for business processes and implement automated HR Solutions while collaborating other departments, including Information Technology Services (ITS)and external technology suppliers to coordinate projects and system enhancements. 

 

More specifically, you will: 

  • analyze business processes and gather user requirements for HR automated solutions.
  • partner with IT and external suppliers to coordinate projects and system enhancements.
  • manage release cycles, including approvals and production deployment coordination.
  • translate business requirements into actionable specifications.
  • execute user acceptance testing and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • ensure compliance with departmental standards.

 

What you need to succeed
You excel at setting priorities and ensuring key deliverables are met.  With strong communication skills, you collaborate effectively with clients, technical specialists, and suppliers to solve problems and assist business impact assessments. As an innovative problem solver, you can identify future opportunities and potential issues. 

 

Additionally, you have: 

  • Experience as a Business Analyst (or similar role) working with HR platforms/tools relevant such as SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Service Now, Jira.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and IT methodology in the client server environments.
  • Familiarity with HR functions throughout the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, offboarding)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.

 

Nice-to-have 

  • Business Analysis certification through a recognized learning organization such as the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation

 

Your education and experience
This position requires a completed post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant field (e.g., HR, information technology, project management, business analysis) and 2 years or more of relevant, recent experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 

 

What you need to know

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Reliability 
  • There will be no relocation assistance provided

Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a substantial part of each month as part of the Bank`s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of eight days per month to help build connections between colleagues.   • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $77,853 to $91,592 (job grade 15)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
  • Flexible and comprehensive benefits so you can choose the level of health and dental coverage that meets your needs
  • Extra vacation days (up to five each year) that you can purchase to add to your vacation entitlement
  • Option to join the indexed, defined-benefit pension plan after 24 consecutive months of service
