What you will do
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join the Core Technology Services (CTS) portfolio of the Bank’s IT Services (ITS) department and drive the transformation of both people and platform capabilities. This role focuses on people leadership, service outcomes, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring Enterprise Storage and Database platform teams deliver reliable, secure, and scalable services aligned with organizational strategy.
The role requires strategic leadership and technical expertise to provide end-to-end product management oversight across several product lines, lead teams through the modernization and evolution of products and ways of working, translate corporate needs into actionable plans, and ensure sustained operational excellence.
In addition, you will:
- Lead the product evolution strategy and roadmap development for CTS products within assigned domain
- Communicate a clear product vision that drives value, relevance, stability, and reliability, and guides decision-making across delivery and operations, while championing the responsible and pragmatic use of AI to enhance outcomes.
- Provide leadership during complex system problems related to CTS systems, partnering with technical leads to resolve high-impact problems while maintaining stable and reliable technology operations.
- Lead a team of direct reports with various strengths, as well as cross-functional teams, to design, build, operate, and continuously improve CTS products and services.
- Conduct frequent individual meetings with team members and ensure, through mentoring, performance management, succession planning, and training, a continued development of robust talent.
- Handle financial management and planning of activities for new initiatives, through business case development and associated approval processes.
What you need to succeed:
- Demonstrated people leadership and strategic management skills, with the ability to build, motivate, and sustain high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to foster an inclusive, collaborative culture, enabling individuals and teams to perform at their best while driving accountability and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and align stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to lead teams through operating model, process, and technology transformations, translating strategy into execution.
- Solid technical leadership and systems thinking, including an understanding of platform-based architecture, system design, and operational considerations sufficient to guide teams and make informed decisions.
We are also looking for someone who has experience with or in:
- Leading Agile and DevOps-oriented delivery models within Information Technology or digital teams.
- Product management or service ownership practices, including roadmap development, prioritization, and value-based decision-making.
- Financial planning and investment management, including business case development, funding approvals, and ongoing cost oversight.
Nice-to-have
- Experience managing technology platforms or enterprise services.
- Project management work experience
Your education and experience
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration or other related discipline and 8 years of relevant IT technical and leadership experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional). Hybrid Work Model
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $153,721 to $180,848 (job grade 19)
- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
