What you will do 
We are seeking an innovative and dedicated individual to join our forward-thinking Cyber Security Division. You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled team of cyber specialists working in a fast-paced environment enabling Canada’s Leading Central Bank to work securely.  
This role directly supports the Bank’s Cyber Security Policy as well as the Awareness Directive.  This person will be a key member of the team working to mature the Bank’s cyber security awareness program and enable a culture where Cyber Security is embedded in the way we work and where everyone understands the role that they play in protecting the Bank assets and information.  
  
As a Cyber Security Awareness Analyst, you will contribute to advancing the Bank’s cyber security awareness work by:  

  • enhancing and delivering on the Cyber Security Awareness program, including Cyber Security Awareness Month and compliance exercise 
  • delivering routine phishing and spear phishing exercises, reporting on results, and providing recommendations for improvement  
  • developing and providing routine and ad-hoc cyber security training 
  • identifying innovative solutions on how we can continue to build a cyber safe culture at the Bank 
  • delivering cyber security awareness content and materials to a Bank-wide audience, in collaboration with other teams, departments, and stakeholders (internal and external) 
  • presenting results and strategies to senior Bank audiences to gain approval and support 
  • facilitating workshops and presentations to multiple levels of stakeholders  
  • developing and executing on communications related to cyber security awareness, in collaboration with the Communications department 
  • developing, maintaining and strengthening long-term relationships or partnerships with internal stakeholders and third-party services  

 

What you need to succeed 
We are looking for a talented Cyber Security Awareness Analyst, with the following knowledge and skills: 

  • you are a team-player who takes the initiative, is well organized and detail-oriented, and can ensure the completion of high-quality, timely deliverables 
  • you are innovative about data and analytic solutions and have experience in data analysis and visualization 
  • you seek out and analyze information to draw logical conclusions, and can identify, consolidate, and prioritize issues, and translate them into improvement plans 
  • you are comfortable with an agile work environment, contribute to discussions and are optimistic when dealing with changes and conflicts 
  • you are able to solicit cooperation from colleagues, describe your work to a non-technical audience, and are able to set priorities in your development work 
  • you have experience working in and performing testing procedures to assess different behaviours 
  • you are knowledgeable of current and emerging cyber security topics, including challenges and risks, concepts and frameworks, and industry best practices  
  • you are knowledgeable of organizational change management principles, approaches, and methodologies 
  • you have strong interpersonal skills and are an active listener with effective oral and written communication skill 
  • you have advanced technical skills with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, graphs), Word and Outlook and PowerPoint 

  
Nice-to-have 
Experience: 

  • in Tableau, and/or other data visualization tools 
  • facilitating workshops 
  • working in Scrum 

  
Your education and experience 
This position requires a university degree in computer science or engineering, cyber or information security, communication, education, psychology or other relevant field of study with a minimum of five years of experience working within the information or cyber security field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

 

What you need to know

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Secret 
  • Relocation assistance may be provided, if required

Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a substantial part of each month as part of the Bank`s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of eight days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $90,535 to $106,512 (job grade 16)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at  5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
  • Flexible and comprehensive benefits so you can choose the level of health and dental coverage that meets your needs
  • Extra vacation days (up to five each year) that you can purchase to add to your vacation entitlement
  • Option to join the indexed, defined-benefit pension plan after 24 consecutive months of service
