What you will do
The Agency Operations Centers (AOCs) are responsible for managing bank note inventories, authenticating, recirculating and destroying Bank notes.
As a Team Leader, you will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager, your colleagues from the Montréal and Toronto Agency Operations Centres (MAOC and TAOC) and the Director to ensure that the team’s objectives are consistent with the strategic direction of the Currency function.
With the support of the production coordinators, you will plan, supervise, and review daily activities to ensure compliance with established work plans, schedules, quality standards, procedures, and budgets. You will supervise a group of Operations Agents, providing advice and mentor to help them tackle problems, set performance objectives, and develop their skills. You will also be responsible of responding to potential queries regarding operational issues and/or productivity metrics.
More specifically you will :
- Cultivate in team members a well-developed sense of responsibility and perseverance, in order to attain a high level of service delivery and productivity, and maintain a work environment that promotes respect and diversity
- contribute to the development of the business plan and medium-term plan of the sub-business line and examine proposed plans to ensure that objectives are in line with the department’s mission and that measures are in place to meet client needs
- contribute to effective data governance by accurately recording of processing hours and procedural non-conformities.
- conduct follow-up with the various service providers to ensure the quality and compliance of the products and services received
- participate in committees and/or support projects and tasks
What you need to succeed

- ability to communicate in both official languages (French essential)
Nice-to-have
- knowledge of the Currency department functions and its connections to other Bank departments
- solid understanding of other software applications such as, SAP, Cognos, CFBS, PowerPoint and ISA
Your Experience
This position requires minimum 4 years' experience working in an Operations Centre and/or experience in a supervisory position within an operational environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
What you need to know
- Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
- Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
- Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Secret
- There will be no relocation assistance provided

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $77,853 to $91,592 (job grade 15)
- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
