Business Performance Manager

About the position
We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative professional to join our Centre of Operations Team in Montréal as a Business Performance Manager. You will act as an integral part of our team, reporting to the Assistant Director, supported by great analysts and working closely with other members of management. You will provide key technical and analytical support to the operations team while focusing on production responsibilities in order to meet the business objectives.


Your future responsibilities
The next few years will be interesting ones in which you will be faced with meaningful and challenging projects and initiatives to move our Agency of Operations Centre (AOC) to a new level of modernization.  


You will play a key role in maintaining the current ISO 9001:2015 certification, analyzing results of ISO audits and conducting investigations on non-conformance matters. You will also collaborate with the Operations Manager to recommend to management and implement any corrective actions and opportunities for improvement.


Another of your key contributions will be to the development of the medium-term plan: you will provide information on service levels, business volumes and resource demands, which will include the maintenance of AOC key performance indicators. You will also play an important part in our AOC modernization program where your expertise in the field of business performance management will be greatly valued. Furthermore, in collobaration with the Human Resources department, you will maintain the Health and Safety (H&S) policies and procedures for both the Montréal and Toronto AOCs, ensuring that they are updated, that audits are performed as per H&S legislative requirements, and that non-conformance are addressed. 


In addition, you will be responsible for the following:

  • monitoring systems to ensure that quality and performance standards are met and that the CCTV, Frontier, AIMS, BPS 3000 and MHS systems are functioning and maintained according to specifications
  • managing, negotiating and monitoring internal and external service contracts and service level agreements on behalf of the AOCs
  • maintaining the AOC Incident Management Plan and acting as the backup Deputy Section Chief for Planning and Intelligence on the Incident Management Team
  • supporting the professional development of staff and providing tools to enable them to optimize their contribution
  • manage annual budgetary allotment including its progress reporting. 


Your education and experience

  • bachelor’s degree in administration or a related field with a minimum of four years of relevant work experience  in the areas of corporate performance management, quality assurance or risk management  


  • an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered


Your knowledge and skills 
You have solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to consider issues from a broad perspective while keeping in mind business strategies and objectives. You also have strong communication and interpersonal skills and are able to maintain good relationships at all levels, both internally and externally. Finally, you are able to deliver on projects by demonstrating good planning and intiative. 


Knowledge of the Currency department’s operations, systems and business lines; knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; and good written communication skills in your second official language will be considered as assets for this position. Knowledge of lean SixSigma principles is also considered an asset for this position.



Language requirement
English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $82,400 to $103,000 (job grade 17)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (7 to 10% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (15% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
