What you will do 
We are currently seeking a Solution Architect reporting to the Assistant Director, Architecture & Data Center Infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with other architects and project teams to evaluate business requirements and define a technical solution in the form of a product or service. You ensure that the integration of services, data flow and infrastructure meet the evolving business and operational requirements as well as standards such as reliability, scalability, and availability.


As a Solutions Architect, you will: 

  • act with purpose to simplify operations by introducing incremental technology changes
  • play the role of the lead technical authority and provide input to activities leading to the development and evolution of the Bank’s virtual infrastructure (software-defined data center), IaaS, PaaS, and cloud environments.
  • participate in all phases of the project life cycle to implement the required information technology, adding technical know-how, creativity and a seasoned perspective to initiatives and teams
  • Multitask to work on multiple projects, manage conflicting priorities, stakeholder management, and presenting to senior technology leaders


What you need to succeed
As an experienced Solutions Architect, you quickly grasp the essence of complex issues. You are self-motivated, require little supervision and function effectively as part of a team. As effective communicator, you clearly convey key points, organize content, and write in a style appropriate to the audience and purpose of the document and presentation.



  • exposure to diverse work environments, with a broad understanding of multiple business sectors, hardware and software technologies and IT security
  • experience in a multi- vendor infrastructure platforms, such as, VMWare, Cisco, Oracle, Microsoft and IBM.
  • Experience with cloud, integration, database, or automation technologies


Your education and experience
bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another related discipline 

a minimum of seven years of overall experience across a blend of information technology and business settings
or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $95,500 to $119,400 (job grade 18)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (7 to 10% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (15% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
